Announcing Tall Ships® Erie Schedule & 25th Anniversary Ale

The Flagship Niagara League (FNL) has announced the schedule of events, entertainment and further event details for the Tall Ships® Erie Festival taking place this September 8-11, 2016.
Also announced, is the creation of “Belgian-Style Honey Wit” by Labatt. In partnership with Erie Beer to commemorate 25 Years of Niagara Sailing, the Belgian-Style White Ale was brewed with locally produced raw, unprocessed, buckwheat honey from Porter “Buzz” Run in McKean, PA. Samples of Belgian-Style Honey Wit were on hand for attendees during the press conference. Labatt Belgian-Style Honey Wit will be available for purchase from any participating PA retailer until September. A portion of proceeds will benefit the Flagship Niagara League.
New this year, is the “World’s Largest Rubber Duck” which reaches six stories high and has traveled as far as Los Angeles, CA to Long Island, NY. The duck will be on hand during the festival weekend. The festival will conclude Sunday night with a fireworks presentation sponsored by the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership. Festival tickets are currently available for purchase online at TallShipsErie.org, in the Erie Maritime Museum Gift Shop. Starting June 1, tickets will be available for purchase at participating Country Fair Stores for a discounted rate.
Tall Ships® Erie 2016, presented by Highmark will take place September 8-11, 2016. The festival is expected to be another huge success, showcasing at least 10 tall ships, on-board tours & sail-aways, live music and entertainment, children’s activities, a festival marketplace, food vendors, the Labatt Beer Garden and much more.
The U.S. Brig Niagara is owned by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, administered by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, and is operated by the Flagship Niagara League (FNL), a 501 © 3 non-profit educational associate organization of the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC), chartered to facilitate citizen participation and operation of the U.S. Brig Niagara and its homeport, Erie Maritime Museum.
