Diverse Business Scholarship Program
The Diverse Business Scholarship Program is an initiative of the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership designed to expand access to Chamber membership and strengthen Erie’s business community through inclusive growth.
By providing a one-year Chamber membership scholarship, the program removes financial barriers that can prevent underrepresented businesses from accessing networks, advocacy, and resources that support long-term success.
Who the Program Is For
The program is open to businesses that are minority owned, woman-owned, veteran-owned, or that demonstrate diverse ownership or leadership. Eligible businesses must be located in Erie County or the surrounding region and must not be current members of the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership.
What Scholarship Recipients Receive
Selected businesses receive a full year of Chamber membership and are encouraged to engage fully in Chamber programs and opportunities. This includes access to networking events, training programs, advocacy efforts, mentorship opportunities, and recognition through Chamber communications and events.
Program Experience
Throughout the scholarship year, participants take part in business development training focused on financial management, marketing and outreach, business growth strategies, and practical applications of artificial intelligence in everyday business operations. The program is designed to support both immediate growth and long-term sustainability.
How to Apply
Interested businesses are invited to complete a short application outlining their background, goals, and interest in Chamber engagement. Applications are reviewed by a committee of Chamber leaders and community partners, with a new cohort selected each year.
